Suicidal Thoughts & Deliberate Self-Harm
Published research tells us that 1 in 4 people will seriously
consider suicide at some point in their life. Whilst it can be
frightening to be in this place and frightening to think about telling
those that care about you, we have a great deal of experience of working
with people who feel that they are almost beyond their limit. If you
are feeling suicidal or recognise that you are doing things are are
harmful to you, you might want to talk about it and consider if there
are ways to increase your resources and reduce the possibility of harm
to your self. We will consider the risks and plan with you to minimise
the harm, to your self and to others.
Some of our staff are trained in the ASIST, suicide first aid method and can offer a specific conversation about being "safe for now".
